Survival of the Fittest

I honestly don’t know where to start this week. I have so many things going through my head! So many things happening, so many questions being asked. Honestly I don’t have the answers. In fact I have more questions.
But I came across something this weekend that I think it’s worth sharing.
Survival of the fittest is really ‘survival of the best information processing’. - Mark Manson
Those who process information better, survive.
This week I honestly don’t want to challenge you to do much. In the midst of everything that’s happening, process the internal information. Listen to your body, listen to your thoughts, listen to your soul and process that information.
Before you listen to the outside, listen to what’s happening on the inside.
I woke up this morning and the first thing I did was check my messages, then while at it I scrolled through status updates. The third status I saw was traumatic. At that point I didn’t see it as traumatic. It was a black lives matter post. Then I jumped over to IG and my timeline was just full of #blacklivesmatter and #genderbasedviolence posts.
A thought crossed my mind - this is traumatic, I am constantly exposed to trauma.
The truth is, I’m not the only one!
Are these issues important? Yes! Should you be informed and up to date about them? Definitely! Are they traumatic? Yes!
So this week, the challenge is simple (not easy), take some time out and listen to yourself. Survival of the fittest is actually survival of the best information processing. Proceed the internal information before trying to process the external information.
Dedicate the moments before going to bed and the moments after waking up to yourself. The revolution needs you at your best. Take care of you so that you can take care of others!
Love you, you matter!
