Process & Progress

Writer's picture: Leslie MLeslie M

I don't know what to write. I keep trying to process the many thoughts in my head but I keep reaching an obstacle. And the obstacle is a thought I'm not quite sure I'm ready to share yet.

If I had checked the calendar in advance, I'd probably have chosen Tuesday as "blogging day"; giving myself some time before 6/4 falls on a blogging day.

But here we are ...

"Through many dangers, toils and snares

We have already come.

T'was grace that brought us safe thus far."

Question:

Have you taken some time to process the progress you've made?

Do you understand just how much progress you've made? You may not be where you want to be, but you are here. You have moved from there to here.

It's easy to allow what is around us to affect our vision. Sometimes it's just as a result of where we find ourselves. When you are at the bottom of the valley, all you see is the uphill climb you'd have to embark on to get to the top. What you don't see is the many hills and valleys you've journeyed through to get here.

In our eagerness to make progress, we often focus on the distance we still have to cover ...

And forget the distance we have already covered!

Take some time out this week and process the progress you've made! I am absolutely confident that you will be proud of yourself!

And when the road ahead feels daunting ... comfort yourself with these words:

"Through many dangers, toils and snares

We have already come.

T'was grace that brought us safe thus far.

And grace will lead us home."
